  • Institutional Innovation Council, GBU celebrated National Innovation Day on 15th October 2022 under the mentorship and able guidance of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Ravindra Kumar Sinha. The program which commemorated the birth anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was very well compared by Dr. Bhupendra Singh(Innovation activity coordinator). The event began with the address of Dr. Indu Uprety (President, IIC, GBU) who sketched the contribution of Dr. Kalam not only the field of missile technology and aerospace engineering but also in the area of medical technology in the form of "Raju Kalam stent". The address was succeeded by the enlightening words of Prof. N.P. Melkania (Dean academics, GBU) who shared his personal anecdotes with Dr. Kalam and also Dr. Kalams love for simplicity and nature.   • Institutional Innovation Council, "GBU celebrated National Education Day on 11th November 2022" under the mentorship and able guidance of Honrable Vice Chancellor Prof. Ravindra Kumar Sinha. The program commemorated the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, who was India's first education minister after independence. The event began with the address of Dr. Shakti Sahi (Nodal officer, IPR cell, GBU) who formally introduced the speaker. The event was graced by Mr.VIVEK SINGH IP Attorney & Head-IP Prosecution Practice, Sagacious IP. In his highly motivating and informative lecture he emphasized on the omnipresence of IP in all the walks of our life.   • "National Youth Day" was celebrated on 12th January 2023 (Thursday) by Gautam Buddha Uniersity. Prof Indu Uprety, President IIC GBU gave the welcome address. Dr C.K.   • One day filed/exposure visit to NSIC, Okhla was organised on 27th February 2023. In this visit students were exposed to the activities going on at NSIC, along with market space and how it Page 2 of 6 Visit to Pre-incubation Units at NSIC, Okhla 2023 benefits and helps them in exploring the dynamics of entrepreneurship. The NSIC promotes innovation and entrepreneurship by converting and translating technology ides and innovation in various disciplines of science and engineering into products, processes and services for the commercial exploitation and the benefit of the community.   • Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Ip management for Startups was conducted on 28th August 2023. To instill intellectual property (IP) awareness in the students and expose them to importance of a right IP portfolio even in startups. The workshop covered the topics right from the inception of acceptance of IP as an asset to the current day scenario where it holds firm in its position as a prime stake in any industry. Various case studies were used to explain the concept of different types of intellectual properties. The trajectory of development of an idea into a full fledged registered and protected intellectual property was discussed in detail. Other topics that were covered included enforcement of intellectual property rights (IPR), infringement of IPR and also the role of different international agencies to offer a wider protection of IPRs.   • "Poster Making Competetion" was held on 28th February 2024 (Wednesday). Intstitution’s Innovation council, Gautam Buddha University, organized a poster making competition at the university level for all the students. The competition was very well received by the students across all the disciplines and w e received a whooping around 60 entries. The competition was judged on the occasion of national science day and the cash prize of Rs. 5000 was awarded to Shubra Dixit, M.Sc. Applied Chemistry as the first winner, Anuska Devi of School of Engineering as second prize winner received Rs. 3000 while Bhargavi, from BA English programme was awarded by a cash prize of Rs. 2000.   • "One Day Industrial Visit on GRC at "MRK GRC Surajpur,Greater Noida, UP (India)" was held on 9th September 2024 (Monday). 19 (Nineteen) students of the Institute from (B. Arch, 2nd and 3rd Year) participated in the Visit. 04 (Four) Faculties participated in the Visit from Architecture and Regional Planning Department. Also, participated in Zonal NASA (National Association of Students of Architecture) convention at "CT Institute of Architecture and Planning,Jalandhar, Punjab (India)". On October 14, 2024, a debate and discussion on the topic of “Unlocking Nature: The Promise and perils of patenting life forms” was organized by the Intellectual Property Rights Cell,Gautam Buddha University. The event was sponsored by Institution Innovation Councicl, Gautam Buddha University, Uttar Pradesh. Students from various schools participated in the event and disused and debated various aspects of patenting life forms. It was indeed a thought-provoking discussion as the students came up with the technical, legal and moral angles of life form research. The event successfully came up as an amalgamation of the budding brains of future lawyers, scientists and technocrats. The debate was judged by Dr. Jaya Maitra and Dr. Bhaswati Banerjee.
